Here are some: Normal serum creatinine range for men 0. 5-1. 5 mg/dL, for women 0. 6-1. 2 mg/dL. Normal creatinine clearance for men is 97-137 mL/min, for women 88-128 mL/min. A Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) above 90 is normal for adults, lower for children and the elderly, below 15 is kidney failure. In a 24 hour urine normal is less than 30 mg/day.

For healthy adults, Blood Urea Nitrogen ranges from 7 to 18 mg/dl. Urine creatinine ranges from 0.6 to 2.4 g/24 h. Creatinine clearance ranges from 88 - 128 mL /min. Uric acid serum should be in the 3.0-8.2 mg/dl. Uric acid in urine has a wide range, depending on the patient's diet and other factors.

It depends on what they are testing for. You want no blood or casts (cells) in your urine. You want your urine to be slightly acidic (low pH) and you want your sugar (glucose) to be low.

To know the proper functioning of kidneys doctors advise to do the test. If the tests show decreased value it should be investigated. There are two types of tests which are used to measure the kidney function. The tests are BUN and CREATININE which determine wether the functioning is normal or not.
