No, yogurt is used to help promote the growth of beneficial bacteria in the intestines for candida overgrowth. This is separate from the kidneys which are involved when there is a urinary infection. A sample of urine will be taken by a vet who will prescribe antibiotics.

Yogurt won't help with the infection itself but if your dog is on antibiotics for the UTI, yogurt will help with keeping a balance of pro-biotics. A good home remedy for UTIs is a splash of apple cider vinegar in the dog's water for a few days or 1/2 t added to their food.

Yes, yogurt helps restore useful bacterial that is depleted by antibiotics. Give your dog plenty of yogurt to balance healthful bacteria and restore his/her body. Unflavored or plain yogurt should be used. Additionally, one or two tablespoons of apple cider added to plain yogurt will help neutralize any harmful bacteria.

Yogurt does not help with a urinary tract infection. The best thing to do for a UTI is to take them to the vet. Just like people they need antibiotics to get rid of this painful infection. Once they are on antibiotics yougurt will help to keep their system in balance.
