Does Taiwan belong to China?

I say a yes! But I have a good enough explanation for it!

Debatable, the Chinese government regards Tai Wan as a dissident province. Tai Wan however has been claiming its independence since as early as the year 1895. Not many governments have recognized Tai Wan's independence though, mostly do to political pressure from Beijing.

No. Taiwan, "The Republic of China", is a sovereign nation. After the Chinese civil war, ending in 1949, The ROC reamined in control of Taiwan and the Communist party (Peoples Republic of China) took the mainland. Taiwan was a founding member of the United Nations and a member of the security council until 1971, when politics dictated favoring the PRC.

i say a yes because... if today U. S. was in the same situation as China,U. S. would do the same thing as China. U. S. would say "Every peace of land that belongs to us,shall not be taken away! " Mind our own business time...

taiwan is an independent country, the differences between China and Taiwan is actually a huge different..... I believe that Taiwanese hate people call them chinese and it's true!

Well, saying Taiwan belongs to China is just like saying UK belongs to America , but it doesn't, and we all know that, the language is different, same as Taiwan and China.
