Fresh salt water can kill germs. Salt water has been shown it have healing affects. Cuts seen to heel faster after going to the beach because tof the high content of salt that maybe helping to kill unwanted bacteria. You could possibly duplicate this at home but it would take pure spring water and a lot of sea salt.

yes, the salt water has such a quality to kill the germs and microorganisms present in the wounds. That is why the doctors are prescribing to use boiled salt water to wash the wounds and also to gargle it to the patients of mouth disease.

While salt water will kill a few germs, it does not kill that many at all and should not be used as an antibacterial or for any deep kind of cleaning.

Salt water kills germs it is true. When we have some throat infection we are asked first to gargle salt water to kill the germs. When there is a wound on your body we first wash it with salt water which gives a burning sensation and kills the germs on it.
