Rescue remedy is used to help cats when they are in stressfull situations such as car journeys or going to the vets. The results vary between cats but used daily a few drops in their water may be of some use and it may be applied behind their ears also.

Could the mechanics of CPR be useful on a cat then the answer is yes. I saw it done on an unconscious cat after a house fire on tv.
