Do they cut the urethea muscle during prostate surgery?

I need to learn more about prostate surgery so I will know what to expect.

Most prostate surgery is done using a cystoscope that goes up your urethra. There is no damage done to the urethra during surgery.

There are many muscles surrounding that area, and like all surgeries, muscle is often transected, however, muscle rebounds very well from this. Muscle heals well and is forgiving.
