Angular cheilitis is an inflammatory lesion at the corner of the mouth. It is caused by bacteria or fungus but mainly by fungal infection. Candida albicans is the causative agent. It can also occur due to iron, zinc or nutritional deficiency. It can be treated with OTC Vytone, but the drawback is it is a steroid. Micatin is good choice.
