No, relaxers do not wear off at all. They may, at the root, get "sweated out", but that;s mostly due to salt from sweat. Your hair will always have this chemical on it unless you cut it off. All in all, only get a relaxer if you're prepared to keep up with appointments at a salon.
Relaxers do wear off!!!!! strait Perms do not! So sick of people confusing the two!!! As to the length of time it takes, it depends on your hair type and the relaxer you use. Ask the person at your localbeauty supply store, example Sally's. add a comment
