Does anyone still use dial-up?

Wouldn't that make it faster if no one is?

Dial-up is still used in areas that fiber cable is not installed and gprs or umts gsm networks are not in range. The band width remains the same no mater the number of users that makes the connection low and limits the transfer in uploads and downloads. Dial-up is also used when extra phone line is added.

In some cases there are people still using it. If you don't use the internet for steaming then it isn't really necessary. However this doesn't mean that less traffic will make a dial-up connection faster. The limiting factory is the connection itself. It doesn't allow for more speed.
