Yes, the Sony PSP 3000 does play UMD discs. They are inserted in the drawer at the back of the device.

Yes, the PSP 3000 has a drive that accepts UMD disks. It will play these disks so long as they are designed for use with the PSP.

a PSP 3000 does play UMD discs, as do all PSP's except the PSP Go. The PSP Go is the newest PSP and so far is very unpopular.

No the psp 3000 does not have a port to hold a umd disk. It supports down load files only.

Yes, considering that is what the games are played from it would have to have that capabilities. Both use the same style disk. Otherwise everything would have to be ran via the memory card.
