Considering they are wild animals, and one of the only venomous mammals, no. They are very rare, and there is a relatively little research on platypi, which are aquatic mammals which would add another reason why this would be a terrible pet. I also believe that they are an endangered species, therefore it would not be acceptable as a pet.
