I think about how much fiber I eat. I have diabetes and eating fiber helps to keep my blood sugars down. Eating fiber also helps me to eat less because it makes me feel fuller. I also eat fiber as it can lower my cholesterol. I add in fiber naturally by eating oatmeal and adding whole grains to my meals.

We should all get 20% fiber according to so many studies. My brother realized he wasn't eatting enough fiber, so watching that with exercise he lost 70 pounds and is so much healthier. Lowering saturated fats and increasing fiber are the big deals - that will make you healthier now!!

Only when I bring home lots of fresh picked cantaloupe - that's one thing that I can't get enough of, and it brings about loose stool as you could imagine...

I think about it all the time because colon cancer is so prevelant in people 40 and older. I have seen victims of colon cancer and it's not a pretty way to die. Fiber is really important for good colon health. How can you tell if you're getting enough? When your stools look bulky and they float.

No I don't think about how much fiber I eat regularly because I really is hard to keep track of everything, there is so much, like how many calories, fat, vitiman c. How does one really keep up? If i'm focusing on fiber paticularly I will take a fiber supplement, but generally I don't do that.

I never pay attention to my fiber intake. Occasionally, if I am paying attention to calories, I'll try to eat more fiber, just because it's filling and calorie-free. In general, though, I don't care.
