Well typically larger appliance do sometimes require a 220volt plug instead of your standard 110volt plug. So unless you already have one a new one will have to be wired.

no you dont need a special one just buy normal electric stuff and if your refergerator plug in is different then just buy a adapter a lot cheaper to go with

Unless you bought your refrigerator in Europe, no you do not. American refrigerators run on a standard outlet, which is usually 110 volts. Much larger units might need more power.
