Do you have to have an actual registered business to use a PayPal business account?

I want to get one so that I don't have to reveal my name buyers.

No, you do not need a registered business to use the PayPal premier or business accounts. In fact, to remove limits on monthly payouts, they are required.

No you do not. You may have to set up a separate checking account because if you already have a paypal account set up on your current checking account you may not be able to set up another one underneath your business account. At least I couldn't.

No. Private individuals can have a PayPal business account, if they are registered "doing business as" their own, personal names.

No you do not need to have a registered business. You can open it as a personal account and control the name that is revealed.

I think any individual person can sign up for a PayPal account. You just have to type in your information. As far as I know it works like any account.
