Do you get ribs and pork loin from the same part of the pig?

Ribs are the ribs of the pig. Pork loin is a leaner cut of meat that is usually taken from the area under the ribs, above the leg.

No. Pork loin comes from the are on top of the rib cage, referred to as the hind loin and fore loin. Ribs come from the belly of the pig.
