Do Westies have a high incidence of cysts and tumors?

I have my second Westie and she has a cyst just like the one before her. The dogs weren't related.

Sunlight can be a cause of cysts and tumors with light colored dogs. Limit the amount of exposure to sunlight. Age can also be a factor. Body oils and fat will cause the growth of cysts. Older dogs are less active and have a higher amount of fat cells.

Most of the Westies that I've encountered have grown sebaceous gland cysts as they've gotten older, but I've never known Westies to be susceptible to any type of tumor.
