It depends on the desert. Some deserts, like those found in the Arctic or Antarctic, are always cold. Other deserts, like those found in Saudi Arabia or in Southern Africa, get very warm in the summertime, but can get very cold (including frost or snow) in the wintertime. Others get very hot in the daytime but very cold at night.
