Do subrogation rights on rental property still apply to family members?

I had my nephew staying in my home for a while, and he has completely damaged expensive items, and I feel like he should be responsible for them.

Subrogation has to do with recovery by insurance companies. Your best bet in this matter is to file in Small Claims (after attempting to resolve the matter with your nephew) and sue him for the damage to your property/belongings. You'll need photos, dates and estimate repair or replacement costs from verifiable sources.

subrogation right applies but it is not sure what is the age of nephew if he is a kid and had not done intentionally then it is not applied otherwise you can claim or sue for damages.

Consider talking with a lawyer if it's serious damage. But more then likely, you won't get anything to stick if you didn't have a written contract before the damage was done. It's unfortunate, but even with family we often have to protect ourselves in that respect by just making them sign an agreement.

he probably should be responsible for the items but it really depends on how old he is. he should be responsible for the items maybe if he was... 10 or older. but if he did it on purpose then should be responsible for it whatever age he is. so yes. Subroation rights opn rental propety do still apply to family.
