These types of lilies should not spread. The only species that will spread rather aggressively is called the Roadside Orange daylily. All other species tend to clump instead, Stella D'Oro lilies included. If they're clumping too much they're very easy to split apart when the time comes - make sure to do this in early spring or early fall.

Stella D'oro Day Lilies do spread. These flowers are in a group of flowers known as ground covers. The initial purchase of this flower may be expensive to fill the area, but after the plants mature and begin to spread they make a wonderful filler both in flower beds and on hillsides.

Yes, this type of day lilies do spread, but not as quickly as the more common varieties seen in the wild.

Stella d'oro daylilies will grow. The number of fans (sections) of the plant will increase every year. They will not spread the same way that invasive ditch lilies do.

Every lily spreads as soon as you notice them spreading be sure and pull the new shoots otherwise they will get so bad they will push their own roots out.

I have stells d'oro day lilies in my yard as a border. They do not spread but each year they do get fuller.

Like all day lilies, the clump will get wider and you will get more leaves and flower. But day liles do not jump all over the garden.
