There are variables to this answer. Scars heal at different rates because the level of oils on different parts of the skin factors in, as well as where the scar is. This is becuase there are different levels of elasticity of skin throughout the body. All of these factors determine how completely a scar will in fact disappear.

No. Some very minor scars might, and scars obtained when a child might, but almost always a scar is permanent thing. You can rub Vitamin E Oil(the pill version helps a little too) on it to help the skin soften and regenerate, and Neosporine makes a cream with anti-scarring properties.

No, scars never go away; however over time they will fade. There are some products available that claim to help in minimizing scars.

Scars do disappear completely in time although the healing time for a scar can average from a couple of weeks to couple of months a year depending on the injury.
