Yes. The 2 nuts that hold the cables from the battery to the starter short across them that should turn the engine over.

Yes they actually do. All motorcycles come complete with starter solenoids. If yours does not have one, then you should contact customer service and report the defects in the vehicle.

Any electric start vehicle will have a starter solenoid. The solenoid is what energizes the starter and gives it enough electricity to turn. You can see it if you look on the side of the starter housing. There will be a cylinder attached to it. This is the starter solenoid.
