motorcycle

Question by  henry740 (37)

Is there anything special I need to do for a motorcycle that I have not started in a long time?

Due to an accident I have not been able to ride my motorcycle in over a year, this weekend we are going riding and I want to make sure it will work.

you should check all the fluid levels, replace the old gas with fresh gas, change the oil and oil filter, make sure the battery is charged, and if it is a carborated bike you should probably clean them if the bike doesn't start up after doing the above list of things.

Start by pulling the plugs and giving them a good cleaning and check there gaps. Spray some starting fluid into the cylinder if you bike is cold blooded. Then drain you tank and carbs if you left untreated fuel in them and fill it with fresh gas. Make sure to charge you battery also.
