In general, no; joint tenancy is an legal ownership by two (or more) people in real estate and, as such, generally has nothing to do with personal property.

It varies by state. Generally speaking if you take it to court to divide property you have to have some sort of proof. Common areas are typically furnished with common property, meaning it belongs to both. Your bed, however, would still be your bed. Unless you are married.

Yes both joint tenants do own the contents of the house. The only exception would be if one of the parties was decease. Then the survioring tentant would become the sole owner of all of the contents of the entire house. In somecases a will would not change the rules.

The ownership of the house does not affect the ownership of the contents of the house such as furniture. It may be difficult to show the proof of ownership for each item however.

Joint tenants only own their own property that they purchased with their own money, unless it was purchased jointly. The only exception is if they are married.

It depends which contents you are referring to and it depends if the joint tenants have a contract that address those contents. The contents of the house could be personal property or they could be fixtures.
