The symptoms of mono include general fatigue, a loss of appetite, and chills. These symptoms last anywhere from 1 to 3 days, and then symptoms can include a sore throat, high fever, and swollen lymph nodes. The only way to know whether you have mono is to see a doctor.

You would be extremely fatigued and lacking in energy. Your white count would be high. You need a simple blood test to determine if you have mononucleosis.

Mono is caused by the Epstein Barr virus. The symptoms are those of a cold or flu with extreme fatigue, sore throat, swollen glands, headache among others. The only way to obtain a diagnosis is a medical xamination and lab work to see if you, indeed, have the virus.
