For starters you're going to need to locate the desired part. Refer to your car manual, it'll contain the schematic you need to locate any part. Another option: mechanical consultation.

Mount amplifier. Run power wire from battery to amp. Run rca and remote cabling from amp to car radio. Ground the amplifier. Connect wires from speakers to the Amplifier.

Run wires from the battery or fuseblock to the position in the car you want to. Use big wires if you have a really big amp. Also be sure to put a fuse in line so it protects everything and will prevent an issue if you over drive the amp.

Why would you want to hook up a mono amplifier in the first place? Have you ever heard of stereo?

If you have an aftermarket stereo you should have auxiliary jack on the back to get the signal from and you just need to wire in the power if it a powered sub. If you have a stock radio you need a line out converter to patch into the factory stereo. The wire in your sub and amp if needed.

The best place to hook it up is under the back seat of your car. It is good there because it will be out of the way and you will not step on it or kick it getting in and out of the vehicle and you won't lose your trunk space.

Installing a mono amp is simple. When hooking up a mono amp you are only hooking it up to one speaker. Just make sure that you hook up the positive and the negative correctly. After that just connect the power (red) and the Negative (black) and the remote. The remote will be the smallest wire in there. Good Luck
