Do domestic or foreign cars get the best fuel mileage?

Imports tend to get better gas mileage. When comparing similar style car the imports will usually have the better fuel economy. They use smaller engines in lighter vehicle. However all imports don't get better than domestics. They also don't always have the power and build quality of some domestic cars.

Most import cars are more fuel efficient. This is due to their typically smaller(lighter) cars with smaller engines. There are a few fuel efficient American cars but not many.

This completely depends as to where you live. Because if you live in the USA, it will almost always be that way. Though if you live in germany it isn't.

I do not believe that foreign or domestic cars get the best fuel mileage. They say that because they want you to buy theirs over USA's.
