Did Dr. Suess write poems?

Dr. Suess wrote longer, narrative poems. All his stories are actually poems. His work was meant to help children with the development of language, syntax, sound, and rhyme and rhythm while having a good time reading silly stories. The books/poems have been known to drive some adults to distraction but they are loved by all kids.

Yes, he wrote poems about serious subjects such as war, but used humor to drive home their message. He also wrote silly poems about how much he hated parties.
