Concerning my A/C, what is a low-pressure mercury discharge?

Basically it is just an indicator that mentions the rate of the pressure between the cooling and heating. If it is low-pressure then there is a low coolant with the AC.

I would be concerned about this. It is a sign of low pressure in your AC's pipes and could also mean a clogged filter that should be looked into and fixed as soon as possible. Mercury is a dangerous thing in any appliance or electronic device. At this point replace the AC.

This is caused through a damage somewhere in your AC. There is no other way to fix it without a professional. Without this fix then you will have a higher bill then you will have a non-working AC.
