Bismuth Subsalicylate, better known as Pepto Bismol, can be used for your pooch for vomiting and diarrhea when in tablet or liquid form. Do not give your dog Bismuth Subsalicylate if he/she is pregnant or nursing.

While you can use it the newest type of Pepto may not help your dog due to the addition of aspirin compounds that can cause stomach bleeding. Many prefer instead to use products such as Pepcid, Tagamet, or Zantac. Never use Pepto with cats as its toxic to them.

You can use Pepto Bismol for your dog but the animal will take a different measurement then a human being. Too much can lead to poison.

I have never tried to give my dog Pepto Bismal. In my opinion, dogs should not be given a medicine that is not made for dogs without the approval of a veterinary.

Yes, you can use Pepto Bismal for dogs. However, you need to follow the dosing instructions for a child when dosing an animal. The smaller the dog, the younger the 'child dosing instructions' needed to be used on the back fo the bottle. If you have any other questions about dosing contact your Vet.
