Question by  stefann (1)

Can you use a crock pot to cook eggrolls?

I'm in college, and there are no stoves available to us. When I do use the microwave, the eggrolls become mushy.

My first reaction is "Yuck"- I think you will have a terrible result- SMOOSH. Buy an electric frypan, they are great! - you can also prepare stews, etc in them. Emerson makes a tabletop oven that can fit two pizzas, convection and rotisserie (I have it), or smaller ones are inexpesive. Or, look for a product called Micro Magic, asontv. com.

The purpose of a crock pot is to cook things very slowly, this wouldn't work for egg rolls as they need hot oil or a hot oven to make them crisp. Which is the best way to serve them.
