Descenting a ferret should only be performed by a licensed veteranarian and is normally performed at the same time as spay/neuter. Removing the scent gland does not remove the ferret's natural odor, just its ability to spray, like a skunk does. To perform the operation yourself is cruel and likely illegal in your state.

Ferrets have their scent glands removed before you purchase them. If you have baby ferrets, they'll have to go to a vet to have their glands removed.

The scent gland would have to be removed by your vet. Remember though that it will not get rid of the scent 100%
