Withhold food from your dog for 24 hours after the first sign of diarrhea. Give plenty of water or Pedialyte. Introduce simple foods back into their diet in small increments.

NEVER withhold food or water from a dog unless your vet tells you. I suggest bringing your dog into the vet. Your dog could be having allergies or there could be another underlying problem. The doctor can give you meds to help the dog.

If you dog has diarrhea you can withhold food for 24 hours. Make sure that you still give your dog water. After 24 hours you may try feeding your dog a bland diet like cooked hamburger or boiled chicken.

I would only do that the first day. Always offer clean, fresh water. On the second day offer a meal of boiled chicken(without bones)and rice. This will calm and bind the digestive system.
