Because ibuprofen, and other related non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, can cause upset stomach as a very common side effect it is often suggested that one takes this medication with food. It will be just as effective as if taken on an empty stomach but will cause you less nausea and discomfort.

Yes, you can take ibuprofen on a full stomach. It will be effective. In fact, when using Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen, you should ALWAYS EAT BEFORE taking these medications. These drugs are very harsh on the stomach, and chronic use can lead to ulcers and other gastrointestinal complications.

Yes, you can. In fact, it is recommended that you do not take Ibuprofen on an empty stomach. However, having a full stomach will not reduce the effectiveness of the drug. Having food in your stomach can help the Ibuprofen work better, and reduce the chances of it possibly damaging the stomach lining.
