I only see the ones with the freezer on top.

Yes, I purchased a side-by-side approximately 5 years ago and I have seen them since as well. The top freezer is a style coming back from the days before just as the bottom freezer.

Yes, they still make them as well as the ones with the freezer on the bottom. I'd look around some more, try Sears.
