A water leak can come from a couple of places. If the leak is coming from the water line into the refrigerator from the wall, you will most likely have to fix that on your own. If the leak is internal, it should still be under the GE's 12 month warrantee.

The ice maker and freezer and always the first places to look for leaks. Make sure that connection hose to the water is not leaking. Then make sure this not the result of ice crystals forming and the melting.

Well, that is a common manufacturer's defect. Take it back in and ask for a replacement and do not wait.

Try to find out where the leak is coming from. Once you find out where the leak is coming from you can take the part to sears and they will get you the replacement part that works with your refrigerator. Also make sure it does not have a warranty before you mess with it because they won't cover it.

Well if it is leaking, then there was a defect in it. You need to call customer service and ask for a replacement of the parts.

My best advice is to contact GE there should be a warranty on your refrigrator if it is only six months old and they will come out and check it for you diagnose it and let you know what you need to do to get it fixed and the warranty will pay for everything.

Call the company where you bought it or the company that delivered it into your house to have it checked. Make a claim against them if you have water damage.
