Depends on the type of thyroid meds and best to consult with the doctor or pharmacist. You should take Nexium 1 hour before breakfast and the thyroid at bedtime.

Yes it is safe to use Nexium and thyroid medicine at the same time. One of the drawbacks of many thyroid medicines is their tendency to cause an upset stomach.

There are several kinds of thyroid medicine. There shouldn't be a problem taking Nexium, but it is always an excellent idea to ask your doctor and especially your pharmacist, particularly if you have multiple prescribing physicians.

I would not reccomend combining any types of medicine if your family physician does not tell you to. Mixing medicines could cause you more problems than you want. Call your doctor and get the medicine changed if it is not working.

It will depend on what thyroid medication it is and what the dosages of each are. Your pharmacist or doctor will be able to give you more specific information.

Ask your pharmacist. They mat recommend stagering when you take them as nexium alters the pH of the stomach and may cause abnormal drug uptake.

I checked with my pharmacist and he stated that if you have checked with your doctor you should be able to safely take both medications. He does advise that you take your Nexium one hour before breakfast and take the thyroid medicine in the evening.
