Can you keep lightning bugs as pets?

Yes you can have them as pets, but you must keep them in warm, wet areas and feed them. They "light" to attract a mate, so no, they will stop.

I'm really glad that finally someone thinks like me! I've had a family of lightning bugs for a few years and I could not be happier with how well it's worked out for me. They actually do keep lighting and it's really amazing to watch when it happens. I love my bugs!
