You can conceivably keep anything as a pet, but a king cobra creates many problems. Firstly, it is a deadly snake, so you would have to make sure you didn't create any conceivable situation where you would be bitten, and then have anti-venom on hand just in case. Otherwise it would be just like any other pet.

King cobras are extremely dangerous! They are a very poisonous and agressive snake. Their Latin name is "ophidiagus", which literally means "snake eater", so they are also cannibalistic. Only experienced wildlife researchers should handle this snake.
