Sure. Vectors are described in two ways, either by a magnitude (size) and direction (usually an angle),
or in terms of components (numbers) that describe the projection (shadow) of the vector on the x, y axes. If V is the vector whose size is |V|, making an angle A with the positive x direction, then
Vx= |V| cos A and Vy= |V| sin A
