Can you help me troubleshoot my Harman Kardon amplifier?

The amplifier may have a defect. If it was purchased new and this is the first time using it, grab the receipt and return it. If it has worked before, make sure the amplifier output is set to the speakers and the trebel, bass, and mid-range are turned up.

Some harman karon receivers have a "speaker" button to the right of the power button. If everything else appears to be working except sound, check to see if you have this button, and if so, press it. It acts like a mute button, and may have been hit by mistake.
