Can you have an elective Cesarean?

I don't want to give birth naturally.

I have heard of a doctor agreeing to this but a C-section is considered major surgery and if not needed I'm sure the doctor will try to change your mind. These days there is so many advances on the natural way to give birth. Maybe if you have any kind of fears you can discuss them with your doctor.

An elective Cesarean is typically left up to your doctor. If you discuss your concerns with her/him, a comfortable solution or compromise can usually be reached. There may also be an issue with safety as far as the health of the baby is concerned. Discuss with your doctor as to how the baby's health would be affected either way.

Some doctors/midwives will let you opt for a cesarean section, but very few will, without any reason to. They don't want you to go to surgery unless you really need it. It can cause way more complications.
