I can personally recommend the Pioneer SX series as I am an owner. With any aged electrical equipment a through inspection is necessary. Problems could arise with failing capacitors, but this is not an issue when the unit has been well cared for. These units output audiophile quality sound and are an example of the quality the Pioneer brand brings.
