Although a good video card, it is a bit dated nowadays. In order from oldest to newest, the best alternatives at the moment are the 8800GTX, 9800GTX, GTX 295, and finally the very expensive GTX 480. All of them are very powerful cards, which you should choose depends on your budget. I've used GeForce for years now.
