My friend is an Army medic overseas. A patient complained of ear problems. Looking into the man's ear through a scope he saw a spider looking back at him!

I was camping in the woods in New England and I woke up in the middle of the night with a spider crawling around inside my ear. I went into hysterics at the sensation. Fortunately my friends managed to remain calm and the spider was dislodged with the aid of some baby oil. Longest 5 minutes of my life!

The scariest spider horror story I know is "The Spider" (1908) by Hanns Heinz Ewers, a German writer. You can find the translation on the Internet or in some horror anthologies. The famous American horror writer HP Lovecraft said "The Spider" was his favorite horror story. Your poor cousin will have to sleep with the lights on!

My son was 8 years old and playing in a tree house he built in the woods near our house. he was bitten by a poisonous spider in the testicles!
