Can you explain to me the difference between asp and asp (dot) net?

ASP is a language that allows people to write pages in VB cript where allows you to write pages in any language, they are generally not compatible. brings a lot of performance improvements and does away with the difficulties generally found with operating ASP.

In ASP only two languages were available for scripting VBScript and Jscript/Javascript. supports ' language' including C# and . could be run on non-Microsoft Platforms also.
