Scabies is caused by bacteria under the skin. If it is all over the body then bathing with carbolic soap may help. Similarly the borax soap may also help.

It probably would do no good because Borax couldn't reach the critters. Scabies are under your skin and you would need the scabies medication that penetrates to get to the chiggers and their eggs.
Borax soap is usually used as cleaning agent. It should not be used on human skin as it can easily enter into the blood stream through skin and cause harm.
