Yes permethrin is the drug of choice but if this fails there are many other choices like malathion, Lindane lotion or some orally taken drugs like ivermectin.

Permethrin 5% is the correct treatment for scabies. Scabies is very difficult to treat and requires patients to also treat inanimate objects they have come in contact with to prevent reinfestation.

Permethrin is a insecticide. I was not aware it was also used for human treatments. Its Toxic to Dogs and Cats but not other mamals per se. How are you applying this? Topical or Orally? Who prescribed this to you? Crush Asprin and mix it with vitamin e lotion and apply. It will stop the pain.

Permetrine is part of correct treatment but if you use it adequately, you have to put it in all the body and this has to be dry, treat all your contacts as well and take measures like donĀ“t scratch yourself, wash all clothes, wash hands and find infection source.

Permethrin is the correct treatment for scabies. If you are not getting rid of them it is probably because you are not treating your bedding and everything in your house. Scabies like your bedding and warm moist places. When you treat your body, wash your linens in HOT water and use a lice killing spray on your mattress and pillows
