Can TMJ cause numbness?

Answer by  sgomez (33)

Facial numbness is not considered a symptom of TMJ (there is no scientific proof yet). The numbness could be caused from any number of other factors, with TMJ being indirectly involved. It is a good idea to consult a neurologist in this case, a qualified doctor would be able to shed some light on this issue.
