Can pregnancy cause pain in the upper abdomen?

Yes. This is especially true during the second and third trimester when the baby may be pressing against the diaphragm and upper abdomen. Try changing positions to get more comfortable. You'll likely feel better if the baby turns. If the pain is severe or comes in stabs, see a doctor.

Pregnancy has been known to cause gall bladder issues, and that would cause upper abdomen pain. Also, depending on how far along you are, all those organs being pushed out of place can cause some discomfort. Always contact your Doctor though, they can let you know if it's something serious.

Yes it can. You are more susceptible to heart burn and other gas troubles. Though, if you feel that this is a serious pain please consult your doctor asap.

Yes, with pregnancy you will have pain thorugh out your abdomen as a result of your body adjusting to the presance of the baby and your gorwing uterus.
