Prednisone is an immunosuppresant and antiinflammatory drug. It can help in the treatment of a collapsed trachea along with other drugs (bronchodilators for instance). It cannot cause a collapsed trachea.

There is no source that shows that Prednisone has been used to treat a collapsed trachea. Nor is there any statement where it can cause one.
